Autumn.

A time for reflection.

A time for gathering.

A time for taking in the harvest of life.

On October 4th, join pianists Daniel Kleefeld and Heath Vercher for an evening of music designed to allow you to pause, take in life, and reflect on this change of seasons.

The concert will begin with pieces from Heath's past albums, as well as new work to be unveiled at the performance.

Then, Daniel Kleefeld, a native of Tulsa, Oklahoma will take the stage to set the compelling atmosphere for the second half of the performance.

MORE ABOUT THE ARTISTS:

Heath Vercher is a recent graduate of the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, with a M.M. in Theory and Composition. To date, Heath has released three albums of original music and a Christmas album, is a regular performer in Houston and along the Gulf Coast, and a regularly featured artist on contemporary instrumental radio.

Anxious to share his message with the world, Heath is beginning to shape his music for the future, and changing the world, one person at a time.

As always, remaining yours in music, as in life

Daniel began his music career playing in a hotel lobby. It wasn’t long until Daniel’s performances caught the attention of Alex Majed, who was the Warren Duck Club Manager at the time.“He had just been honored by receiving the Manager of the Year Award,” recalls Daniel, “I happened to come by to congratulate him, and he enthusiastically asked me to come and be their pianist.” This has led to opportunities at several other fine dining restaurants such as Bravo, Bon Appetite, Polo Grill, He also sets the perfect atmosphere at weddings, receptions, parties, charity banquets, and many other events. He is frequently a guest on local television and radio shows.

Daniel has produced and recorded three CDs, and will soon be releasing a DVD of a concert recently filmed at the TV47 studio before a live audience.

Daniel currently lives in Tulsa, OK, with his wife, Linda, and two daughters, Lisa and Courtney. Lisa will give a violin performance at some of his concerts and Courtney, who has studied ballet, will dance.

ABOUT THE CONCERT SERIES

"A Change of Seasons" began as a way to fill the a need. A need for quality music in a quality atmosphere.

When talking to his friends and contemporaries who are instrumental performers, Heath often found that a lack of suitable venues existed to showcase the music of these outstanding performers. What would be the case most of the time is that a performer would end up being background music in a hotel, restaurant,or other situation.

Just like musicians playing in other styles, Heath sought a way to assist his friends in having a place to showcase their talents, stories, and the nature of their music.

Thus, the "Change of Seasons" concert series was born. Hosted at the Unitarian Fellowship of Houston, the concert series features instrumental performers in a beautiful setting. Wide, picturesque windows open into a beautiful garden, and the sounds of the piano or other instruments in the sanctuary fill the space and the senses.

Four seasons. Four concerts. Come as you are. Leave inspired.
